Who are we?
Cardiff sciSCREEN is a Cardiff University public engagement programme organised by members of the MRC Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics (CNGG), the Centre for Social and Ethical Aspects of Genomics and Epigenetics (Cesagene), Cardiff School of Biosciences, Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies, Cardiff Law School and the School of Social Sciences.
On Aril 16th 2015 we showed The Imitation Game, a 2014 historical thriller film directed by Morten Tyldum. The event was free and was sponsored by Cardiff University School of Social Sciences. Following the screening a panel of experts discussed key themes from the movie.
As part of British Science Week Cardiff sciscreen organised a FREE event supported by the British Science Association and the Schools Partnership Project. Following a screening of Andrew Niccol’s GATTACA a drinks reception with refreshments and post-film discussion took place.
As part of Human Rights Day Cardiff sciSCREEN organised a FREE event in collaboration with Cardiff Law School. Following a screening of Steven Soderbergh’s CONTAGION there was a drinks reception with refreshments and post-film discussion.
